capping ceremony.♥

The moment all the juniors are waiting for, the placing of the cap in our heads as a sign that we've made it! Yatta!

Time is of the essence when it comes to nursing, you should come an hour earlier than the call time.
Coming from Laguna, i had to wake up 4:00 Am to prepare myself. 9:00 is the call time
but of course my parents would also be preparing themselves with my grandmas from both side, even though the allowed number of guests are just 2. You know filipinos when it comes to events like this. Always punctual and following invitation. Well, i don't blame them cause i know they are excited like me as well.

We departed from Laguna at about 6:00 in the morning but before going directly to the venue (don bosco church makati), we headed towards caltex-slex and ate in McDonald's first. WE got a little overconfident about the time that we departed from there at 7:30. At 8:00, i arrived at venue. I was so surprised because all of the students are already on line and in their proper uniforms, so i really hurried up cause i really thought that there was a stat announce
ment that the program would start early well in fact there is none. Snap back to reality, the program started at 9:00 exactly. So on the minutes waiting in line, we just took pictures of ourselves with our peeps and clinical instructors as well as to our dear relatives.

We had a lot of fun especially the taking of picture part but the weather? It's blazing hot even though it was just 8 in the morning. The event started exactly 9PM. We first had our march going inside the church, holding the nightingale lamp on our right hand and the cap in the left hand. The ceremony started with a mass then proceeded with the program proper by hearing speech from the head clinical instructor and of course the Nightingale's Pledge. An oath for us nurses. After we pledged our oaths, every student nurses are called by tens to come up on stage to have their caps (for the female) and pins (for the males) placed by their respective clinical instructors in front of the church. Our section was called last because i belong to section E. Hehehe.^^ It was a nice feeling when the symbol of being a nurse was placed now into your head. Even though cameras and video cams were not allowed while the program is on progress, gerie, bobi and I still managed to take some pictures while gerie's aunt took videos. And as we had out final picture-our class picture, the program has ended. Ultimate picture taking time! I was busy taking pictures with my friends for remembrance while my brother is busy looking for my crush (he's only a second year student and he happens to be our usher). My official photographer, Patrick Kevin Angeles, my brother. Ahaha!

After the program (it ended at about 11AM), we went to Gerry's Grill in Glorietta for our lunch. I met some of my colleagues there eating with their family as well.

Before going home, my dad has to finish something. So we went to Alabang-Honda near Alabang Town Center if I'm not mistaken to get some parts. And since we're near ATC, we were tempted to watch a movie. And so we did. We watched Wanted starring Angelina Jolie. It was so cool. The effect of the bullet and the way they were trained to be an assassin was great and that's what i want to learn! Hehe. Seriously I do!

We just got home late. I was tired that time that after I do my bed time routine I ended up sleeping already without preparing for my things tomorrow for my class (even in saturday we have classes).

til the next post.
